The Cafe Central

The emblematic Cafe Central dates back to the 19th century and is located in the old Moorish city centre, facing the Casa Amarilla next to the San Matteo Church.

This combination of an antique flavour and the aroma of a good coffee with the contemporary colourful cosmopolitan terrace is where locals and visitors meet, get to know and experience the Tarifa way of life. History tells us that in these lands, Tarsus, Phoenicians, Greeks, Romans, Visigoths and Arabs have all passed through and left their trace.
